Our Philosophy
Our responsibility
as a member of society
As Deutsche WindGuard Group, we acknowledge our social responsibility and are particularly aware of the economic, social and ecological impacts of our actions. This responsibility implies that we ensure legal compliance in all our business decisions.
Respect for human rights
All Deutsche WindGuard companies respect the United Nations' "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" and the "European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms". We feel uncompromisingly committed to them.
We reject all forms of child and forced labour as well as any use of modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies not only to our work within the company group, of course, but we also expect the same from our business partners.
Equal opportunities and treatment
Equal opportunities and treatment are important principles for fair, unprejudiced and open interaction. We promote respectful cooperation, diversity and tolerance. People of different nationalities, religions and genders enjoy working with us. Diversity is an integral part of our philosophy. It enables us to maximise competitiveness, innovation, creativity and efficiency.
Contributing to the future of our region
For more than two decades, we have been feeling closely connected to the city of Varel, where our company is headquartered. This is why its economic stability and social cohesion are particularly important to us. The same applies to our other sites. We are happy to contribute to the future of the regions where we live and work.
- The selection, recruitment and promotion of our employees are based on their qualifications, skills and expertise above all.
- We do not tolerate discrimination, for example, because of ethnic or national origin, gender, religion, ideology, age, disability, sexual orientation, skin colour, political views or social background.
- We work closely with regional educational institutions to offer young talents insights into our company, entry-level opportunities and career perspectives in the wind energy industry.
- We prefer commissioning regional suppliers and service providers in order to strengthen local economy.
- We enjoy contributing to regional activities and events, such as the “Hospiz bewegt Varel” 2024 charity run.
