Deutsche WindGuard is inspection body at Global Tech I wind farm

Recurring inspection of 30 wind turbines successfully completed

Varel, 2021-07-27: On assignment from Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH, Deutsche WindGuard Inspection has now successfully completed recurring inspections on 30 wind turbines at the offshore wind farm Global Tech I in the German North Sea.

The contracted scope of services at this wind farm located around 180 kilometres northwest of Bremerhaven, Germany, comprised the inspection of tower and nacelle in accordance with the Standard Design of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH).

For the first time, Deutsche WindGuard Inspection has now carried out the recurring inspection of tower and nacelle on 30 wind turbines at Global Tech I wind farm.

“We are pleased that Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH counts on our expertise and has commissioned us with the inspection of the technical condition and safety equipment,” says Jan Wallasch, Managing Director of Deutsche WindGuard Inspection, “with the highest level of thoroughness, our experienced offshore experts carefully inspected this year’s inspection scope of 30 turbines and also checked the monitoring and maintenance documentation. For this purpose, the team was stationed on board of the REM Inspector service vessel directly in the wind farm for four weeks in June.”
